Project Design Engineer (Coupling Technology)

Location: Onsite at hirify.global Global Headquarters in Easton, Pennsylvania, United States. Monthly travel to agencies, vendors, and manufacturing sites is required. Relocation assistance is available, but immigration sponsorship is not provided; applicants must already be authorized to work full-time in the United States.

Compensation: Base salary determined by experience, qualifications, skills, and geographic location, plus performance-based incentives and benefits.

What you will do

• Own coupling product development from concept through market release.
• Generate design concepts, create drawings and hardware models, and present proposals to stakeholders.
• Lead cross-functional teams through detailed design, drawing approval, vendor selection, prototyping, and testing.
• Estimate design costs, develop cost-effective alternatives, and prepare project and procurement authorizations.
• Oversee tooling, pilot production, design reviews, and resolution of tolerance and manufacturing issues.
• Develop engineering instructions and technical literature, and train Marketing, Sales, and Application Engineering teams.

Requirements

• BS or MS in an appropriate engineering field.
• 5–10 years of commercially successful product development or related engineering experience.
• Experience managing successful cross-functional projects from concept through production.
• Required experience with FEA and proficiency in 3D CAD software.
• Familiarity with GD&T, injection molding, casting, machining, welding, 3D printing, and design using elastomers, plastics, composites, and metals.
• Ability to work hands-on in a laboratory and perform mathematical modeling of complex mechanical designs, including stress, fatigue, pressure, and dynamic-load analysis.

Nice to have

• Experience with pressure vessels, piping, fluid control devices, or pumps.
• Experience with Abaqus and SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of design optimization, parametric studies, scripting with Python, or AI-assisted engineering tools.
