Senior Process Utilities Engineer

What you will do

• Lead process utilities design efforts and manage budgets across projects of varying size and complexity.
• Coordinate with Project Managers on proposals, staffing plans, schedules, clients, vendors, and external partners.
• Review technical documents for quality, code compliance, and alignment with industry standards.
• Direct and mentor engineering support staff and deliver internal technical training.
• Develop utility room layouts, pipe routing, space plans, capacity plans, and expansion strategies.
• Manage vendor packages, risk assessments, 3D model reviews, site walkdowns, field reporting, commissioning, and startup support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 15+ years of experience for Senior-level candidates.
• Experience in design firms, operating companies, or construction environments.
• Strong knowledge of industry codes, regulatory guidance, and local building standards.
• Ability to lead complex technical projects and coordinate across disciplines and with external stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineering (PE) License.
• Experience with diverse facility types and systems in the life sciences sector.
• Established technical relationships with clients, vendors, and trade partners.
