Salary: $20.00–$26.00 per hour, plus a $2.00 per hour second-shift differential and a $2,000 sign-on bonus.

What you will do

• Set up, adjust, and operate auxiliary binding and bindery machines.
• Operate equipment such as perfect binders, folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, and binding or gluing machines.
• Coordinate machine stations performing feeding, vibrating, milling, roughening, gluing, covering, delivery, and stacking operations.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues and maintain operating accuracy using standard and specialized tools.
• Direct the production crew and monitor quality, output, and productivity.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of bindery machine setup, adjustment procedures, capabilities, and limitations.
• Knowledge of how different paper weights, sizes, types, and colors affect machinability.
• Ability to interpret written work instructions and maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Skill in making difficult powered-machine adjustments with hand tools, including wrenches, screwdrivers, punches, and knives.
• Availability for the second shift: 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
