TL;DR
Clinical Specialist, TEG (Medical Devices): Driving TEG product utilization and expansion at hospital customer sites through clinical education, case support, and territory management with an accent on hemostasis management, critical care applications, and customer training. Focus on supporting TEG implementations, resolving technical and clinical issues, expanding clinical use cases, and partnering with account managers to grow revenue across a field territory.

Location: Must reside in the Sacramento, Northern California, or Reno, Nevada area. Remote from the Boston headquarters with up to 50% travel; this is a field clinical/sales role.

Salary: $85,000–$160,000 annually, plus potential incentives and eligibility for applicable bonus and long-term incentive plans.

What you will do

  • Manage the existing TEG customer territory and expand product utilization, applications, and revenue at hospital accounts.
  • Train clinicians and other users on TEG equipment, software, disposables, result interpretation, and clinical applications.
  • Provide onsite case support, go-live assistance, after-hours training, and support across laboratories, critical care, operating rooms, and other clinical areas.
  • Build relationships with clinical champions, decision-makers, and C-level stakeholders while supporting account expansion and sales planning.
  • Investigate and resolve technical, operational, and clinical customer concerns with cross-functional partners.
  • Support installations, validation, verification, competency training, SOP and IQCP development, product launches, upgrades, and market feedback.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science, medical-related, or similar profession.
  • 3+ years of industry or clinically related experience, preferably with complex medical devices or in a critical care environment.
  • Knowledge of hemostasis management.
  • Strong technical and clinical aptitude, including the ability to operate the TEG Analyzer, interpret results, and use the related software.
  • Residence in the Sacramento, Northern California, or Reno, Nevada area and willingness to travel up to 50%.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in science, a medical-related profession, or business administration.
  • Experience supporting VAD/ECMO, trauma, cardiovascular, high-risk obstetrics, liver transplant, vascular, or critical care clinicians.
