TL;DR
National Clinical Applications Specialist (Medical Diagnostics): Providing post-sales training, validation, and application support for point-of-care monitors and blood gas and critical care analyzers with an accent on clinical studies, customer education, and diagnostic data analysis. Focus on conducting precision, linearity, and correlation studies, presenting performance data, and resolving escalated application issues during frequent customer travel.

Location: Remote (Los Angeles, California), United States. Travel within or outside the assigned territory is required approximately 50%–75% of the time, including overnight stays and short-notice travel.

Salary: $95,000–$100,000 per year.

What you will do

  • Provide post-sales training, validation, and ongoing application support for point-of-care monitors and blood gas and critical care analyzers.
  • Conduct on-site application studies, including correlation, precision, and linearity studies for Nova products.
  • Support new customers through validation requirements and transitions to Nova technology.
  • Prepare and present performance data from on-site and remotely supported studies.
  • Educate end users, analyze application data, and manage customer calls escalated from Technical Support.
  • Document on-site activities and callbacks in the CRM system and maintain clinical data files.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in Medical Technology is required; Biology, Chemistry, or Biochemistry degrees may be considered with relevant clinical laboratory experience.
  • 2–4+ years of experience in the medical diagnostics industry or a hospital environment.
  • Valid United States driver’s license and ability to safely operate a motor vehicle are required.
  • Ability to travel by car, air, and/or train, including overnight stays and short-notice travel.
  • Ability to transport materials, samples, or demonstration equipment weighing up to approximately 25 pounds.
  • Comfort standing and engaging with customers for extended periods in customer sites, laboratories, and offices.
