Director of Aviation

Location: USA-WI-Corporate Headquarters; full-time onsite role

What you will do

• Lead the aviation department of approximately 8–12 pilots, maintenance personnel, and support staff.
• Plan staffing, training, duties, flight schedules, and aircraft utilization to maintain operational readiness.
• Manage the annual budget and multiyear strategic plan while ensuring cost-effective, safe operations.
• Advise ownership and executive leadership on aircraft selection, utilization, and long-term aviation strategy.
• Coordinate with the FAA, airport authorities, vendors, regulatory agencies, and industry partners.
• Serve as a flying director, maintaining required certifications and supporting flight operations as business needs require.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Aeronautical Science, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
• At least 15 years of aviation experience, including 5 or more years in a leadership role.
• Experience managing complex aviation operations and leading high-performing teams.
• Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, safety management systems, and aviation best practices.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including on-call availability, irregular hours, and travel as needed.
