Location: Liberty, South Carolina, United States. Workplace type: Onsite, with frequent field travel, typically 2–5 trips per month and overnight stays.

hirify.global, including Reliable Automatic Sprinkler, manufactures fire protection valves and sprinklers at an advanced manufacturing facility in Liberty, South Carolina.

What you will do

  • Own the end-to-end management of claim-defective customer returns across Reliable and ASC product lines.
  • Conduct field investigations, site inspections, evidence collection, forensic analyses, and root-cause investigations.
  • Apply engineering, metallurgy, materials science, and failure analysis techniques to evaluate product performance.
  • Prepare technical reports for leadership, customers, legal teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Partner with Legal, Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing on litigation support, claims defense, risk mitigation, and subrogation.
  • Communicate technical findings to customers, contractors, and end users, including difficult or adverse conclusions, and support depositions or expert testimony when required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, Civil Engineering, Forensic Engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • 8–10+ years of experience in mechanical systems, product investigation, forensic engineering, manufacturing, construction, automotive, fire protection, or a related industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction practices, mechanical product applications, manufacturing processes, and quality assurance methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 13 and 25, UL standards, and applicable industry compliance requirements.
  • Ability to conduct structured investigations, design experiments, and communicate technical findings clearly in high-stakes customer-facing situations.
  • Willingness to travel frequently, respond to field events on short notice, and work onsite in Liberty when not traveling.
