Associate Engineer (Industrial Furnaces)

Location: Muscle Shoals, Alabama, USA; onsite and active industrial job sites. Domestic and international travel of up to 20% may be required, including short-notice travel and extended workweeks.

What you will do

• Create and revise AutoCAD and Inventor drawings for custom furnace projects.
• Develop bills of materials, manufacturing documentation, and as-built drawings.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, customer reviews, and engineering meetings.
• Support CNC manufacturing and collaborate with installation crews and skilled trades.
• Help verify that furnace installations meet engineering specifications.
• Support quality, safety, and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Self-starter attitude with an interest in hands-on problem solving and learning.
• Willingness to work in hot, dusty, noisy, and physically demanding industrial and construction environments while using required PPE.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.

Nice to have

• Experience with AutoCAD and Inventor.
• Manufacturing, refractory, or industrial experience.
