Senior Pharmacy Benefit Consultant, Health Plan

Location: Remote, US-based

Salary: $180,000–$200,000 annual base pay, excluding bonuses and benefits.

What you will do

• Own client-specific business strategy projects from planning and research through execution and delivery.
• Manage multi-level relationships with national and regional health plan clients and develop customized strategic plans.
• Deliver industry insights, research, analysis, and recommendations to support client goals and retention.
• Lead procurement, market checks, vendor selection, and RFP strategy and processes.
• Review, negotiate, and execute new and renewing vendor contracts in line with RFP requirements.
• Identify opportunities to expand services, support business development, and contribute to new programs and industry publications.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in PBM, pharmacy benefits, or managed care environments.
• Experience developing strategies and implementing programs for large pharmacy and medical benefit programs.
• Bachelor’s degree with pharmacy benefits or managed care experience; MBA or PharmD/RPh is strongly preferred.
• Strong financial analysis skills using Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, organizational, and client relationship management skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage concurrent priorities, and adapt communication to different audiences and seniority levels.
