Salary: $104,000–$156,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Own the architecture and schematics of a vehicle fluid subsystem, including control schemes, component selection, and sizing.
• Perform fluid and thermal analyses using steady-state, fluid-network, and related analytical methods.
• Lead and participate in system and hardware design and manufacturing reviews.
• Define and support test objectives and campaigns validating system designs, models, and vehicle performance.
• Support integrated vehicle testing and launch operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field.
• 2+ years of experience working with fluid systems.
• Experience with system design, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer.
• Experience using fluid or thermal modeling tools for compressible and incompressible flow analysis.
• Proficiency in Python or a similar programming language for scientific computing and automated test or simulation data analysis.
• Ability to work on-site at the Long Beach factory.

• Experience with launch vehicles and spacecraft.
