Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid schedule with 1–2 days onsite per week on average and additional onsite presence as needed. Hybrid employees must work in a Harvard-registered state.
Salary grade 058; the corresponding salary range is available through Harvard's salary-range information.

Central Administration supports the university's schools, students, faculty, staff, alumni, and surrounding communities through centralized services and collaborative partnerships.
What you will do
- Conduct supplier qualification, due diligence, market research, and supplier risk analysis.
- Issue RFIs and RFQs, compare prices, and evaluate proposals against delivery and compliance requirements.
- Contribute to spend analysis, savings calculations, sourcing strategies, and basic total cost of ownership assessments.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to refine specifications, clarify terms, and resolve routine disputes.
- Support contract execution, document management, SLA and performance-metric drafting, supplier reviews, audits, and site visits.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and first-draft sourcing recommendations for management review.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, track assignments, and collaborate independently and cross-functionally.
- Basic understanding of procurement, sourcing, or supply-chain best practices.
