TL;DR

What you will do

  • Review customer, contract, purchase order, planning, and supplier requirements to ensure quality requirements are captured and flowed down.
  • Lead root-cause analysis, corrective action, material review board activities, and non-conforming material disposition.
  • Drive continuous improvement and process improvement projects using quality engineering methods.
  • Assemble and review end-item data packages before customer submission.
  • Monitor program quality performance, analyze defect trends and process metrics, and participate in Change Control Board reviews.
  • Collaborate with program management, engineering, purchasing, production control, operations, and inspection.

Requirements

  • Minimum five years of quality assurance experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline.
  • Experience with corrective action, lean tools, problem solving, Cause Map, Fishbone analysis, PFMEA, Six Sigma, and SPC.
  • Understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, configuration management, and customer and industry specifications including ISO, ASME, and MIL standards.
  • Strong technical writing, communication, presentation, organizational, and project leadership skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Applicants must be U.S. persons under ITAR export-control requirements: U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, political asylees, or refugees. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds is required.

Nice to have

  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer certification.
  • Green Belt training, SAP familiarity, and experience with machining, assembly, and inspection.
