Automation Software Engineer 2

Location: Singapore, Woodlands, NorthTech; onsite, full-time

What you will do

• Define and align software requirements with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Contribute to project timelines, software deliverables, and customized automation solutions for high-volume production.
• Verify and validate software requirements against as-built manufacturing equipment.
• Collaborate with project, software, design, validation, process, manufacturing, and quality functions.
• Participate in equipment commissioning and buy-off activities, including FAT and SAT.
• Participate in equipment qualification and release activities, including IQ, OQ, and PQ.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of relevant professional experience and a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent discipline.
• Programming proficiency in C#, C++, Python, and/or SQL, plus Microsoft Office and Microsoft operating system administration.
• Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting; Beckhoff or Siemens experience is preferred.
• Experience with 21 CFR Part 11, data integrity, the full software development life cycle, and technical requirements writing.
• Experience with unit, integration, and system testing, as well as verification during FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, and PQ activities.
• Experience with electromechanical controls, vision systems, RFID, articulated robots, and industrial communication protocols.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI-assisted development tools for software development, testing, debugging, documentation, and engineering productivity.
• Experience in MES manufacturing, high-volume high-tech consumables manufacturing, Python-based data or cloud analytics, and machine learning.
• Knowledge of QMS and life science regulatory requirements.
