What you will do
- Develop embedded firmware in C for storage devices and related product platforms.
- Validate hardware features and write firmware drivers to control and interface with them.
- Develop, integrate, debug, and maintain firmware features throughout product development phases.
- Optimize existing firmware stacks, libraries, and platform components.
- Resolve internally and externally detected problems with a global software engineering team.
- Contribute to firmware features that improve functionality, reliability, performance, and manufacturability.
Requirements
- Fluent programming skills in C, Python, or similar languages.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis, and practical problem-solving.
- Understanding of microcontrollers, embedded systems, firmware architecture, hardware-software interaction, and low-level debugging.
- Experience with firmware and hardware development tools, including emulators, trace tools, version control, oscilloscopes, compilers, linkers, and analyzers.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, independent judgment, and ability to learn new concepts quickly.
- Interest in storage systems, embedded platforms, firmware development processes, and industry standards.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools for development productivity, code understanding, debugging, test creation, and documentation.
