Senior Advanced Embedded Software Engineer (Quantum Computing)

Location: Broomfield, Colorado, United States; on-site. Candidates must be U.S. Persons due to contractual requirements, and nationality restrictions apply to People's Republic of China and Russian nationals unless also U.S. citizens.

Salary: $135,334–$181,900 annually.

What you will do

• Design, develop, code, test, and debug embedded software for FPGA-based quantum computer control hardware.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to develop concepts and technologies for controlling quantum computers.
• Work with FPGA developers to implement concepts and validate them on internal development testbeds.
• Evaluate software and hardware technologies to improve quantum computer control.
• Deliver products and achieve program goals in an R&D and rapid-prototyping environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• 6+ years of industry experience in embedded software development.
• 4+ years of experience in an R&D or rapid-prototyping environment.
• Must be a U.S. Person, defined as a U.S. citizen, permanent resident or green card holder, or worker granted asylum or refugee status.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multifunctional, team-based laboratory environment.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
• Experience with embedded Linux on SoC FPGAs and low-level device drivers for SPI, I2C, and high-speed serial interfaces.
• Experience with Xilinx MPSoC FPGAs and Xilinx Vitis SDK.
• Knowledge of HDL technologies including Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL.
• Experience using oscilloscopes, DMMs, JTAG devices, and logic analyzers.
