Reliability Engineering Technician

Location: Albany, NY, United States. Full-time, first shift, with up to 50% travel to customer sites.

Salary: $23.00–$33.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Conduct fuel cell component and system experiments, tests, investigations, and basic laboratory functions.
• Troubleshoot system, subsystem, and ancillary component issues and support problem-solving during investigations.
• Collect data, maintain detailed research records, and enter results accurately into databases.
• Travel to customer sites to support reliability processes, upgrades, procedures, and field services.
• Prepare materials for chemical experiments and conduct or oversee testing according to investigative plans.
• Maintain test-component inventory, follow SOPs and safety standards, train new lab technicians, and write SOPs as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate or vocational degree is preferred.
• At least two years of related experience in technology manufacturing, electrical, mechanical, or a related field.
• Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and safe operation of hand and power tools.
• Ability to travel up to 50%, work overtime, and maintain a flexible schedule based on manufacturing demand.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work in cold and hot environments, use computers and Excel accurately, and work independently with minimal supervision.
