Test & Validation Senior Associate Technologist (Electric Power)

Location: Griffin, Georgia, United States; field assignments throughout the U.S. and Canada. The role requires 80%+ travel annually, and relocation is not available.

Salary: $89,210–$133,810 per year.

What you will do

• Perform on-site testing, validation, startup, and commissioning of large engine packages used for data center backup power.
• Analyze test data, document findings, track defects, and drive closure of issues identified during field validation.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, controls, and package-related problems at customer and dealer sites using hirify.global ET and general test equipment.
• Resolve design and manufacturing issues, validate corrective actions, and confirm manufacturing readiness and design acceptance.
• Monitor system performance and reliability trends and recommend improvements to products, field performance, and validation processes.
• Represent hirify.global on-site and collaborate with engineering teams, project leaders, integrators, dealers, and end customers while following all safety requirements.

Requirements

• Experience performing on-site testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of large industrial engines or generator systems.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and controls troubleshooting skills with a structured root-cause approach.
• Ability to interpret test data, document results, validate corrective actions, and prepare field reports.
• Strong communication and customer-facing professionalism when working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to travel 80% or more annually and work in data center and industrial environments.
• Visa sponsorship is not available, and relocation is not available for this position.

Nice to have

• Experience with large industrial engines, generator sets, or power systems in data centers or other mission-critical facilities.
• Familiarity with OEM engine diagnostic software or ECU-based troubleshooting systems.
• Experience resolving escalated field issues with cross-functional mechanical, electrical, and controls engineering teams.
• Ability to independently manage field assignments with strong ownership and customer focus.
