Operations Technician III (Industrial Gases)

Location: Onsite at the Liberal Helium Facility, 12 miles east of Liberal, Kansas, United States. The role requires rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights, days, weekends, and holidays.

What you will do

• Operate and monitor continuous manufacturing processes producing helium at cryogenic temperatures.
• Safely operate helium plants, an air separation unit, and transfill operations.
• Work with compressors, pumps, valves, and other rotating or pneumatic equipment.
• Assist with equipment mechanical repairs, troubleshooting, and analytical analyzer calibration.
• Participate in the Basic Safety Process and serve as a member of the Site Safety Committee.
• Learn to operate a semi-truck tractor to move large containers onsite.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical proficiency and a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and operational excellence.
• Ability to read and interpret piping schematics and diagrams.
• Ability to follow written procedures for starting and stopping equipment.
• Experience or ability to isolate systems for maintenance using work permits and lockout/tagout processes.
• Ability to perform water chemistry testing and operate manual and pneumatic valves.

Nice to have

• Process Technology certificate or degree.
• Military veteran experience.
