Project Manager (Geotechnical Construction)

Location: Hibbing, Minnesota, United States. The role is primarily office-based with occasional jobsite work and requires 5–8% annual travel locally and throughout the United States.

Salary: $73,000–$109,000 per year. Signing bonus up to $15,000.

What you will do

• Lead geotechnical, special inspection, and construction materials testing projects from setup through completion.
• Develop project plans, documentation, schedules, budgets, invoices, and project summary reports.
• Coordinate internal staff, project engineers, operations, clients, and external vendors.
• Manage project scope, schedule, costs, performance, changes, risks, and stakeholder relationships.
• Review soil, concrete, and aggregate testing data and ensure client specifications are followed.
• Train, supervise, assign, and develop field technicians and project support staff.

Requirements

• 5+ years of project management or similar experience.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree, preferably in architecture, construction, engineering, geology, or finance/accounting.
• Experience organizing and prioritizing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
• Strong client-facing, written, verbal, organizational, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and hands-on computer systems.
• Ability to work independently in office, laboratory, and outdoor jobsite environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or a similar system.
• ACI and ICC certifications.
• Technical experience in geotechnical work, construction inspection, or materials testing.
