Engineering Project Manager (7+ Years)

Location: Woodland Hills, California, USA; hybrid work schedule.

Salary: $90,000–$150,000+ annually, based on experience; paid overtime and discretionary year-end bonus.

What you will do

• Manage local engineering projects and potentially projects across Coffman’s 23 offices.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers and designers across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection disciplines.
• Develop proposals, project execution plans, and technical engineering reports.
• Build and maintain effective client and stakeholder relationships throughout project challenges.
• Read and review project drawings, plans, sections, and bills of materials.
• Coordinate project and construction management activities across commercial, healthcare, educational, industrial, utility, and alternative energy projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science.
• At least 7 years of related experience, with the posting also describing a preference for 10+ years of project management, design, and construction experience.
• Project or construction management experience in the specified industries and sectors.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and understand construction issues beyond the primary engineering discipline.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including effective communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Self-directed approach, ownership, follow-through, multitasking, and prioritization in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• PMP or PgMP certification.
• Project permitting management experience.
• Business development experience.
• Ability to provide peer design reviews.
• Experience developing total installed costs.
