Project Manager, Engineering Technology (Structural Engineering)

Location: Pleasanton, California, United States; remote work may be available

Salary: $84,400–$135,000 per year, plus eligible quarterly bonus or commission

What you will do

• Manage the development, enhancement, maintenance, and lifecycle of structural engineering applications, including selector tools, desktop software, web platforms, and internal enterprise solutions.
• Guide applications from intake and business case development through quality assurance, launch, patches, and post-launch improvements.
• Act as a structural engineering subject-matter expert and coordinate cross-functional teams, stakeholders, schedules, and resources.
• Gather user feedback and prioritize improvements to ensure application usability, technical accuracy, and functionality.
• Create, optimize, and deploy internal engineering tools that improve workflow efficiency, organization, and innovation.
• Travel domestically and internationally approximately 15% of the time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or equivalent experience in a related technical field.
• At least 4 years of project management experience in engineering, software, or other technical projects.
• At least 5 years of industry-related engineering experience as a designer, design engineer, technician, EIT, or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of timber, concrete, and steel construction methods.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, JIRA, and Confluence, with the ability to learn additional tools.

Nice to have

• Passing the NCEES Principles and Practice of Engineering exam.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management experience.
• Familiarity with hirify.global products.
