Principal Enterprise Architect (Data)

Location: Remote, but must reside in close proximity to one of the listed U.S. locations: Louisville, Dallas/Frisco, Washington/Arlington, Chicago, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, New York, Boston, Atlanta, Nashville, or Charlotte. Occasional travel to hirify.global offices for training or meetings may be required.

Salary: $156,600–$215,400 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Define the enterprise data vision, strategy, principles, target architecture, and modernization roadmap.
• Transform fragmented point-to-point integrations into domain-aligned, reusable data products.
• Establish systems of record, authoritative data sources, ownership models, lifecycle standards, and consumption models.
• Drive adoption of scalable, event-driven, real-time data patterns and guide the selection of data platforms, tools, and integration technologies.
• Lead data governance, quality, consistency, compliance, and migration from legacy data assets.
• Align business and technology leaders while providing architectural leadership and mentoring across data, integration, and domain architecture teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise or data architecture, with deep expertise in data architecture and strategy.
• Experience leading large-scale data transformation initiatives involving platforms, integrations, or migrations.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, event-driven architectures, cloud data platforms, data governance, data modeling, and systems of record.
• Ability to define enterprise roadmaps and execute across complex organizations.
• Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and influence skills.
• Must reside in close proximity to one of the listed U.S. market locations.

Nice to have

• Experience with data product or domain-driven data architectures.
• Healthcare or regulated-industry experience.
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
• Experience with cloud data lakes, streaming technologies, or API management platforms.
