Principal Enterprise Architect (AI)

Location: 5 days onsite in Lafayette, Louisiana; Knoxville, Tennessee; Columbia, South Carolina; or Birmingham, Alabama

Compensation: $152,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead enterprise architecture for Generative AI, Agentic AI, and multi-agent solutions from concept through production.
• Define reusable AI architecture patterns, standards, reference architectures, and implementation guidance.
• Design patterns for agent orchestration, tool integration, memory, retrieval, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Guide secure integration with enterprise APIs, applications, workflow platforms, identity services, and data sources.
• Embed security, privacy, regulatory compliance, Responsible AI, auditability, guardrails, and human oversight into AI solutions.
• Lead technical reviews, support production evaluation and observability, and communicate technology roadmaps to engineering, product, and executive stakeholders.

Requirements

• 8+ years of enterprise architecture experience with Generative AI, Agentic AI, and production AI solutions.
• Hands-on knowledge of AI agents and multi-agent systems, including orchestration, tool calling, memory, retrieval, and human-in-the-loop patterns.
• Strong experience with AWS and cloud-native technologies for scalable enterprise applications and AI workloads.
• Experience with enterprise integration, RAG, semantic search, data lineage, containers, event-driven systems, API management, and IAM.
• Understanding of AI governance, Responsible AI, security, privacy, regulatory compliance, guardrails, auditability, resiliency, monitoring, and model lifecycle management.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software development, requirements traceability, structured specifications, or Spec-Driven Development.
