Student Finance Advisor (Financial Aid/Higher Education): Advising students on education costs, financial aid options, and financial plans throughout the student lifecycle with an accent on accurate account reviews, proactive outreach, and student success. Focus on evaluating financial eligibility, interpreting Title IV policies, resolving complex finance issues, and coordinating support across departments.
Location: Miramar, Florida, USA. Hybrid schedule with four in-office days per week, Monday–Thursday; occasional evenings, weekends, and travel may be required.
Salary: $20–24 per hour.

What you will do
- Advise students on program costs, financial aid, funding options, and financial literacy throughout the student lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain accurate financial plans, establish application timelines, and review student accounts for financial eligibility.
- Support students through phone, email, SMS, and video advising while providing responsive service and first-contact resolution.
- Analyze student data to identify barriers to persistence or graduation, provide coaching, and make appropriate resource referrals.
- Document student interactions and maintain accurate enrollment, persistence, and graduation information in institutional systems.
- Collaborate with admissions and other departments to improve the student experience from inquiry through graduation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least one year of customer service or related experience.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, prioritization, and independent working skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, internet applications, and database software.
- Ability to obtain and maintain NSLDS system access; must not be in default on Title IV federal aid.
- Ability to take ownership of and resolve complex student finance issues.
