Electrician

Location: Columbia, Pennsylvania, United States — plant onsite

Salary: $36.93 per hour, plus a $2.00 per-hour shift differential for second- and third-shift work

What you will do

• Install, repair, maintain, and replace electric motors and associated programmable drives.
• Install and repair electronic equipment, including programmable logic controllers and electrical control panels.
• Maintain and install facility electrical services, including lighting and HVAC systems.
• Install new equipment, mount fixtures, run conduit, pull wire, and connect wiring.
• Troubleshoot electrical breakdowns and perform preventive maintenance on plant equipment.
• Complete required maintenance documentation while following safety requirements; live electrical work is not performed.

Requirements

• Knowledge of the electrical trade and plant operating principles.
• Ability to work with up to 480V three-phase systems; higher-voltage experience is a plus.
• Industrial or manufacturing PLC experience.
• Experience with motor programmable drives, conduit installation, machine moves, and new installations.
• High school diploma or equivalent, plus electrical schooling or an apprenticeship.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role and obtain a tow motor license and complete lockout/tagout and confined-space training.

Nice to have

• Experience in a melting and molding manufacturing environment.
• Higher-voltage electrical experience.
