Electrical Maintenance Technician IV

Location: Onsite in North Chicago, Illinois, United States. Shift: 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m., Monday–Friday.

Salary: $30.70–$55.40 per hour.

What you will do

• Maintain, service, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems supporting utilities and facilities.
• Troubleshoot commercial and industrial equipment, including variable frequency drives, motors and controls, power distribution systems, and lighting management systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, infrared scanning, and static bonding and grounding.
• Document and communicate work status through email, voicemail, and the Maximo maintenance management system.
• Develop testing techniques and help establish and document job plans and service protocols.
• Follow GxP, electrical safety, and company work procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma with 5+ years of experience, a relevant certificate with 3+ years of experience, or an associate technical degree with 1+ year of experience.
• Experience working with at least 480-volt electrical systems; the role includes voltages up to 13,200 volts.
• Knowledge of basic power tools and proper use of hand and measuring tools in an industrial setting.
• Ability to complete scheduled, computer-based, and development-plan training.
• Ability to work onsite in North Chicago during the assigned weekday shift.
