Staff ABAP Developer (SAP)

Location: Secaucus, New Jersey, United States; onsite at headquarters five days a week

Salary: $105,000–$154,000 per year, with potential annual bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Support SAP ECC customizations as part of an ongoing ERP implementation.
• Develop RICEF objects using ABAP and collaborate with external system developers on SAP functional integrations.
• Create technical specifications, design documentation, user training materials, and unit test scripts.
• Participate in code reviews, peer testing, system integration testing, and production issue resolution.
• Investigate root causes, design corrective actions, and follow development and release standards.
• Track project and task status, report open issues, and participate in team meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent education and experience; an advanced degree is preferred.
• At least five years of SAP ABAP development experience and five or more years of relevant IT experience.
• Experience with interfaces, conversions, reporting, dialog programming, user exits, enhancement points, ALV, BAPIs, BADIs, function modules, RFCs, Smart Forms, and IDOCs.
• Strong communication, technical, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Proactive, flexible, and results-driven approach with a can-do attitude.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of object-oriented ABAP.
