Equipment Engineer (Advanced Electronics)

What you will do

• Provide engineering support for production issues affecting equipment availability and maintainability.
• Act as a subject matter expert in equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures, evaluate service conditions, and support repairs and deviations from engineering requirements.
• Lead or participate in downtime-related root cause investigations and unit-level OEE programs.
• Provide maintainability and reliability input for capital projects, turnaround work orders, and process safety management activities.
• Develop troubleshooting guides, improve MTBF, and support cross-functional continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, reliability, engineering, or a related industry.
• Ability to solve problems, prioritize work, and execute multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work closely with operations, maintenance, and other functional groups.
• Hands-on leadership and the ability to lead through influence with operators, technicians, and engineers.

Nice to have

• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Experience with statistical analysis tools such as JMP or Minitab.
• Strategic thinking skills.
