What you will do

• Conduct traffic operational analysis for roadway and intersection improvements.
• Perform transportation safety and crash data analysis.
• Support multimodal design and evaluation of pedestrian and bicycle facilities.
• Assist with traffic signal coordination and timing.
• Develop design concepts using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation based on client needs.
• Collaborate with planners, engineers, stakeholders, and public agencies on transportation projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 0–4 years of relevant traffic or transportation engineering experience, including internships.
• Exposure to traffic analysis software such as Synchro, HCS, or similar tools.
• Exposure to MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills, with an interest in Maryland DOT, county agencies, or Mid-Atlantic transportation projects.
