Reliability Engineer

What you will do

• Establish specifications and guidelines for preventive maintenance and equipment health activities.
• Lead reliability improvements, equipment upgrades, troubleshooting, repair planning, training, and spare-parts planning.
• Analyze equipment trends, historical data, OEE, uptime, and failure metrics to reduce life-cycle costs.
• Identify root causes through Bad Actor analysis, RCFA, FMEA, and equipment history reviews, then implement solutions with process engineering, operations, and maintenance teams.
• Manage mechanical reliability programs including infrared thermography, laser alignment, balancing, lubrication, oil analysis, and vibration analysis.
• Maintain the Mechanical Integrity program and support capital projects, planned shutdowns, inspections, repairs, and equipment specifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in a plant or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with fixed equipment such as vessels, piping, and heat exchangers, as well as rotating equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, compressors, centrifuges, and couplings.
• Knowledge of equipment reliability principles and predictive maintenance disciplines.
• Advanced computer skills; SAP knowledge is preferred.
• Technical understanding of maintenance work processes and experience troubleshooting mechanical processes.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of vessel inspection codes and ANSI standards.
• Contractor management experience.
