Project Manager/PMO Consultant (Defence & Security)

Location: Hybrid working in the UK, with two days per week on client site and three days remote. Most client sites are within daily commuting range from home.

What you will do

• Manage complex projects and programmes from initiation through closure in client-facing roles.
• Develop project plans covering scope, goals, deliverables, resources, timelines, and client alignment.
• Apply and tailor Agile, Waterfall, and other project management methodologies to different contexts.
• Identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies, budgets, resources, and change initiatives.
• Build long-term client relationships through stakeholder engagement, communication, and transparent status reporting.
• Mentor junior team members and support their professional development.

Requirements

• Sole British nationality is required because the role involves secure clients.
• At least two years of experience in project management consulting, PMO, or a related role.
• Experience applying and adapting different project management methodologies and tools.
• Ability to work with and motivate cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, risk management, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience working with secure clients.
• Advanced degree or project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile.
