Project Manager (IT)

Location: Manchester, United Kingdom; hybrid working with a minimum of 50% of working time per month in the office. New team members initially work full-time in the office.

What you will do

• Manage multiple technology-led projects and initiatives through the full delivery lifecycle, from project entry to go-live and post-implementation.
• Deliver complex IT projects using internal and third-party solutions and suppliers.
• Define project scope, produce plans, and lead project teams against agreed delivery objectives.
• Coordinate project resources and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Produce resource forecasts and budgets, monitor progress, and follow change control procedures.
• Report project status and health while managing risks, issues, dependencies, consumer outcomes, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Strong technical knowledge and experience gained from a technology background.
• Experience delivering complex IT projects and the ability to understand technical topics quickly.
• Strong verbal and written communication, relationship management, planning, organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good business and commercial knowledge with high attention to detail.
• Experience delivering change in a financially regulated environment is desirable.
• Financial services knowledge, including pensions, investments or stockbroking, is beneficial.

Nice to have

• PRINCE2 Practitioner certification.
• Experience with Agile or SDLC development methodologies.
