Electrical Estimator

Location: Mesquite, Texas, in the Dallas region; full-time onsite role. Minimal travel is expected, with possible travel to other project areas and occasional overnight stays.

Work authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States. Visa sponsorship and transfer of employment visa sponsorship are not available.

What you will do

• Prepare electrical construction estimates, bid proposals, qualification and clarification sheets, schedules, logistics plans, and breakdown pricing.
• Review project scopes, drawings, technical specifications, geotechnical reports, due care plans, contracts, and associated costs.
• Survey drawings, quantify materials, produce assemblies, and perform quantity take-offs.
• Invite suppliers and subcontractors to bid, follow up on pricing, and support subcontractor recommendations and buyouts.
• Coordinate with the bid team to submit complete and timely bids and provide a clean handoff to project management.
• Provide technical assistance during contract negotiations, change orders, and project kickoff meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• At least three years of experience in construction or a related field.
• Knowledge of conceptual estimating, subcontractor coordination, technical specifications, pricing levels, client relations, and estimate presentations.
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and manage complete bid submissions.
• U.S. work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug and background screening is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Planswift and WinEst estimating software.
• Basic understanding of accounting and project management concepts.
• Strong knowledge of research methodology, data analysis, and estimation metrics.
