Field Service Technician (Electrician – A Grade)

What you will do

• Provide prompt field service to customers in the water, power, petrochemical, and associated industries.
• Identify faults, repair, test, and modify actuators in the field.
• Perform planned and preventative maintenance, including mechanical and electrical actuator installations.
• Install retrofit components, pedestals, and drive shafts.
• Complete accurate technical site visit reports for each job.
• Travel extensively for work, including local and interstate assignments with overnight stays.

Requirements

• Trade-qualified QLD Licensed Electrician with EEHA endorsement, preferably, or an electrical engineering background with a QLD restricted electrical qualification.
• Post-apprenticeship experience in a practical engineering environment, preferably in a field-based role.
• Full valid driver's licence and willingness to travel locally and interstate.
• Competence in confined space work, working at heights, and first aid, or the ability to obtain the required qualifications.
• Ability to read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and use common testing and calibration tools.
• Basic understanding of electronics, electrical theory, and fluid power theory, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• EEHA endorsement.
• Technical experience with valves, actuators, digital control systems, and networks.
