Field Service Engineer

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, service, maintain, repair, install, and commission X-ray and trace detection equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance in line with service contracts, schedules, service levels, and KPIs.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using multimeters, laptops, software diagnostics, and testing equipment.
• Replace failed components, inspect and clean internal machine parts, and identify root causes of equipment failures.
• Complete service reports, maintenance records, spare-parts transactions, and other field service documentation.
• Support customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams while contributing to safety and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Certificate III trade qualification or a degree in mechanical, electrical, electronics, mechatronics, IT, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in field service, maintenance, engineering, or technical support.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills across mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Experience with industrial equipment, automation systems, security technology, conveyors, machinery, or similar equipment.
• Current unrestricted or provisional driver's licence and the ability to obtain and maintain relevant security clearances and industry licences.
• Ability to work across a 24/7 rotating shift roster.
