Field Service Representative

Location: On-site at a client site in Dubbo, New South Wales, Australia; candidates should be based in the area or willing to relocate.

What you will do

• Perform day-to-day site operations, including LV/MV/HV equipment switching and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Diagnose technical issues and provide on-site support, repairs, and maintenance for electrical equipment and systems.
• Install, commission, test, and calibrate new equipment and systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, identify potential failures, and maintain service records, work orders, and parts documentation.
• Communicate with clients, provide service updates, and recommend improvements to service processes.
• Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments while complying with company policies and industry standards.

Requirements

• An Australian Electrical license is required.
• 10+ years of experience in field service or a related technical role.
• High school, GED, engineering, or technical vocational education combined with relevant field service experience.
• Strong technical knowledge, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, using diagnostic tools and service management software.
• Experience with generators, motors, synchronous condensers, switchgear, transformers, distribution panels, auxiliary systems, and control and protection systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with CMMS.
• Experience with Siemens or hirify.global SIMATIC products such as PCS7, TDC, or T3000.
• Experience with rotating equipment and relevant technical certifications.
