Engineering Director (Transportation & Infrastructure)

Location: Owensboro, Kentucky office; full-time, office-based position.

Compensation: $175,234.85–$194,705.39 per year.

What you will do

• Lead the growth and development of the Kentucky Transportation and Infrastructure practice.
• Manage multidisciplinary technical teams and oversee complex transportation project delivery.
• Lead business development, proposal preparation, client development, and industry participation.
• Establish project budgets, staffing plans, coordination processes, and productivity standards.
• Mentor professional staff and coordinate with directors and senior leaders on technical standards and project execution.
• Support public involvement efforts, presentations, agency collaboration, and key client relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Planning; a master’s degree is a plus.
• At least 15 years of Transportation and Infrastructure experience.
• Kentucky Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Proven experience delivering transportation projects and leading technically complex multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience working with federal, state, and local transportation agencies, including KYTC and Kentucky-based agencies.
• Experience in business development, operations management, project management, client relationship development, and Microsoft Office.
