Electrical Engineer IV (Power Systems)

What you will do

• Lead electrical design across programming, design development, construction documentation, and construction support.
• Design and coordinate low- and medium-voltage power distribution systems, including switchgear, panelboards, transformers, feeders, grounding, and protective devices.
• Perform load studies, short-circuit analysis, voltage-drop calculations, coordination studies, and arc-flash evaluations.
• Develop code-compliant electrical construction drawings and specifications and resolve existing conditions through site visits and field surveys.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, utilities, and equipment manufacturers.
• Provide construction support, quality reviews, technical troubleshooting, and mentorship to electrical engineers and designers.

Requirements

• ABET-accredited bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• 15+ years of electrical engineering experience, preferably in a consulting or design firm.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience designing and leading building or industrial power-system projects.
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code and applicable building codes.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and multidisciplinary leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with GMP manufacturing environments, life sciences, or food and beverage facilities.
• Hands-on experience with low- and medium-voltage systems, power distribution, lighting, and special systems.
