Electrical Engineer (Renewable Energy)

What you will do

• Own and deliver electrical design for grid connection works, utility-scale solar PV, BESS, and data centre power infrastructure.
• Ensure all systems are designed, installed, tested, and energised safely and compliantly according to U.S. requirements.
• Provide assurance and challenge across consultants and design partners.
• Manage commissioning, testing, and energisation of HV infrastructure.
• Review consultant and subcontractor designs critically with a strong focus on safety frameworks and compliance.

Requirements

• Must have 5–10+ years of electrical engineering experience in power, utilities, renewables, or critical infrastructure with substantial HV experience preferred
• Proven ability to produce and own electrical designs.
• Strong infrastructure delivery experience across utility-scale solar, BESS, or grid-connected assets.
• Deep understanding of electrical systems, substations, protection, and power distribution design.
• Working knowledge of U.S. grid interconnection standards, NEC, IEEE, and applicable regulations.
• Experience in commissioning, testing, and energisation of HV infrastructure.
• Strong grasp of safety frameworks including Electricity Safety Act and state electrical licensing requirements.
