Senior Electrical Engineer – Data Center Projects

Location: United States (Remote); travel under 15%; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

What you will do

• Develop electrical system designs for large-scale data centers, including MV/LV distribution, UPS, standby generators, grounding, lighting, and monitoring systems.
• Perform load-flow, short-circuit, and arc-flash studies using SKM, ETAP, or EasyPower.
• Review drawings, calculations, vendor documentation, and design deliverables for accuracy and compliance.
• Support BIM/VDC teams with electrical modeling and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Provide construction-phase support by responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and supporting field activities.
• Participate in coordination meetings and support QA/QC reviews and junior staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 10+ years of electrical engineering experience in utility, industrial, or mission-critical facilities such as data centers, BESS, substations, or power plants.
• Hands-on expertise in MV/LV power distribution, emergency and backup power, protective relaying, and redundancy strategies.
• Proficiency with SKM, ETAP, or similar electrical system analysis tools; familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and utility interconnection requirements.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license and authorization to work in the United States are required.

Nice to have

• Multi-state PE licensure.
