Electrical Systems Expert (Data Centers)

Location: St. Francisville, Louisiana, United States; full-time on-site

hirify.global builds and operates large data centers for next-generation computing workloads, including AI, colocation, cloud, and Bitcoin mining.

What you will do

• Review MV/LV distribution, generator plants, UPS systems, and EPMS designs for operability, maintainability, safe clearances, switching practicality, redundancy, and labeling clarity.
• Verify electrical installations during construction milestones, including equipment clearances, terminations, torque documentation, grounding, and cable management.
• Witness NETA acceptance testing and Level 3–5 commissioning, including protective device testing, generator and UPS transfer sequences, load bank testing, pull-the-plug scenarios, and integrated systems testing.
• Track operational findings in the commissioning log and verify their closure.
• Validate turnover packages, including test records, settings files, one-lines, as-builts, arc-flash labels, critical spares, preventive maintenance inputs, and switching procedures.
• Support energization, early-operations stabilization, EPMS and alarm tuning, procedure refinement, troubleshooting, operator training, and feedback to future electrical standards.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in critical-facilities electrical operations, commissioning, or NETA-adjacent field roles.
• Deep knowledge of MV/LV switchgear, protective devices, generators, UPS systems, and EPMS/power monitoring.
• Experience witnessing commissioning through integrated systems testing in mission-critical environments.
• Fluency in NFPA 70E and practical switching and lockout/tagout experience.
• Ability to critically review NETA testing reports and identify missing information.
• Strong maintainability and turnover-documentation skills, especially for clearances, safe isolation paths, settings files, and test records.

• Electrical license, military power background, or an engineering degree.
