Network & Container Platform Engineer (M/W)

Location: Zürich, Switzerland; the role is Zürich-based and involves working in offices or at client sites.

What you will do

• Design and evolve container network architectures using Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Docker.
• Define IPAM, network segmentation, routing, and ingress/egress patterns.
• Secure connectivity across clusters, nodes, external services, and enterprise networks.
• Deploy container networking plugins and network policies based on zero-trust principles.
• Integrate container platforms with firewalls, DNS, load balancers, and proxies across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and operate resilient network services while supporting security, compliance, risk management, and SLA requirements.

Requirements

• Experience designing, implementing, and supporting network services for container-based application platforms.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker networking, KVM solutions, and network service delivery.
• Good understanding of firewalling, particularly Check Point.
• Strong communication, decision-making, collaboration, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate with Hosting, DevOps, and security teams.
• Availability to work in Zürich, including at offices or client sites.

Nice to have

• Experience with Extreme Networks products, including the 77xx, 75xx, 74xx, and 5420 series.
• Good command of the Extreme Fabric concept.
• Experience in a Scaled Agile environment.
• German and/or French language skills.
