What you will do

• Represent the development team in engineering, design, architecture, customer, and Chief Engineer discussions.
• Design, implement, test, and deploy full-stack features using modern frameworks and cloud-native patterns.
• Shape architecture, technology selection, product evolution, and software delivery practices.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and structured development.
• Coordinate with test engineering, Product Owners, Chief Engineers, and customer stakeholders to align delivery with product goals.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, documentation, workflows, team efficiency, and stakeholder communication through demos and technical presentations.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including full-stack development.
• Strong proficiency with modern web frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue; backend technologies such as Node, Python, Java, or Django; and RESTful API design.
• Experience leading technical discussions, making architectural decisions, mentoring engineers, and improving team capability.
• Familiarity with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with customers and diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, distributed systems, microservices, or event-driven architectures.
• Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience supporting government or defense customers.
• Experience with staffing, interviewing, team building, demos, design reviews, or executive presentations.
• Knowledge of telecommunications protocols and packet capture tools and methodologies.
