Lead Full Stack Software Engineer (Java/Python)

Location: On-site in Arlington, Virginia, United States

Salary: $150,000–$180,000 annualized

What you will do

• Develop, version, maintain, and manage middleware web-stack components and shared libraries.
• Build new features, data-source integrations, user workflows, and scalable long-term solutions.
• Collaborate on backend capabilities that expand software analysis functions.
• Support cloudification, containerization, productization, and transition of applications to government and industry users.
• Evaluate libraries and technologies, review solutions, and ensure maintainable and extensible code.
• Lead or mentor other engineers and take ownership of selected software components.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 7+ years of full-stack development experience, or comparable experience without a degree.
• 5+ years of Java and 3+ years of Python development experience.
• 4+ years with Vue, React, Ember, or a similar frontend framework.
• 3+ years engineering systems with SQL and NoSQL databases, including technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Elasticsearch, or Redis.
• Experience with API development, Linux, and Git.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense clearance up to the TS/SCI level is required.

Nice to have

• Open-source project development experience.
• Docker and container registry experience.
• AWS S3 or EC2 familiarity.
• Active clearance up to TS/SCI.
