Lead Software Engineer, Fullstack (AI): Building and scaling complex fullstack applications and AI-driven microservices for Grab's Salesforce-based commercial systems with an accent on enterprise backend logic, system architecture, and AI-enabled sales workflows. Focus on leading engineers, designing distributed systems, integrating databases and cloud platforms, and delivering reliable software through testing and CI/CD.
Location: Onsite at the office in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia

What you will do
- Lead and mentor a team of fullstack developers.
- Define technical requirements and architectural decisions with product managers and business partners.
- Oversee the software development lifecycle from concept through deployment and maintenance.
- Establish coding standards, development processes, quality assurance practices, and code review routines.
- Optimize application performance, security, and reliability.
- Manage project timelines, resources, deliverables, and technical improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of fullstack development experience building and scaling complex web applications.
- Expertise in Java and JavaScript, plus React, Node.js, and Django.
- Experience with Claude Code, Cursor, and LLMs in production, including prompt engineering, RAG, and AI automation of commercial workflows.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, and MongoDB.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, automated testing, DevOps, CI/CD, scalable system architecture, and Agile SDLC practices.
