Strategic Buyer - MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operations)

Location: 9100 Boul Henri-Bourassa E, Montréal, Quebec, Canada. Full-time onsite role with regular site visits and responsibility for internal customers in Canada and the North-Eastern United States.

What you will do

• Develop and manage strategic procurement plans for the MRO category.
• Analyze spending, operational needs, market trends, and supplier opportunities.
• Manage the full procurement cycle, from demand definition through contract management.
• Coordinate requests for information, tenders, and quotes, and negotiate commercial and contractual terms.
• Assess procurement risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure supplier performance and contractual compliance.
• Build relationships with internal customers and suppliers, support cross-functional purchasing initiatives, and report recommendations and savings to management.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in procurement or a relevant field.
• Fluency in French and English is required for interactions with internal customers in Canada and the United States.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of market analysis, data management, performance analysis, and Office Suite tools, including Excel and Power BI.
• Ability to take ownership, work independently, manage priorities, and handle multiple projects.
• Ability to understand organizational structures and adapt effectively.
