Senior Events Specialist, USCAN Field Marketing (Life Sciences)

Location: San Diego, California, United States; full-time onsite role

Salary: $82,500–$123,700 base salary per year, plus eligible variable cash programs and equity.

What you will do

• Plan, coordinate, and execute a high volume of customer-facing field marketing events across the United States and Canada.
• Maintain project timelines, deliverables, stakeholder communications, and event workflows.
• Source venues, prepare RFPs, coordinate contracts, and manage hotel, catering, audiovisual, transportation, housing, and vendor requirements.
• Build and manage Cvent registration sites, attendee communications, and reporting processes.
• Track budgets, reconcile expenses, process invoices, and report event spending.
• Manage speaker logistics, Transfers of Value reporting, post-event measurement, lead capture, and process improvement recommendations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of corporate event planning experience, with a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience with budget tracking, venue sourcing, contracting, registration, speaker management, audiovisual coordination, and post-event reporting.
• Strong working knowledge of Cvent, including event websites, email communications, registration management, sourcing, and reporting.
• Experience coordinating hotel and vendor contracts, banquet event orders, and onsite logistics.
• Strong project management, communication, stakeholder coordination, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to travel occasionally for onsite event execution; this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, diagnostics, healthcare, or life sciences meetings.
• Experience with Transfers of Value and compliance reporting.
