Pediatric Nursing Visiting Professor (Nursing Education)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, USA; hybrid schedule with four in-office days per week, Monday–Thursday. Clinical teaching requires a minimum of one day per week during a 7:00 AM–7:00 PM schedule for an 8-week session.

Compensation: $1,120–$7,245 per assignment, depending on education and experience.

What you will do

• Mentor nursing students in clinical settings while they demonstrate nursing skills and procedures.
• Plan clinical experiences and directly supervise, assess, and document student performance.
• Teach pediatric nursing focused on family-centered care, health promotion, illness prevention, restoration, maintenance, and rehabilitation.
• Prepare clinical assignments, review student work, and provide timely feedback and remediation.
• Coordinate with clinical agencies, course coordinators, administrators, staff, and faculty regarding student and agency needs.
• Contribute to curriculum development, program assessment, retention efforts, policy implementation, and student satisfaction.

Requirements

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Unencumbered professional nursing license.
• Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
• At least two years of professional registered nursing experience within the last five years in the area of instruction.
• Subject matter expertise with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for nursing education, lifelong learning, student support, collaboration, and professional responsibility.
