TL;DR
API 510 or 570 or CWB Level 2 Inspector - Turnaround - Fort McMurray (Oil & Gas): Inspecting welds and industrial equipment during a one-month Fort McMurray turnaround contract with an accent on pressure vessels, pipelines, heat exchangers, and quality assurance. Focus on performing detailed inspections during 12-hour shifts, supporting shutdown operations, and applying API or CWB Level 2 standards across industrial projects.

Location: Fort McMurray, Canada; camp accommodation and onsite work required. Schedule: 6 days on/1 day off with 12-hour shifts; work may continue without scheduled days off until the turnaround ends.

Pay: CAD 75–90 per hour, depending on experience, plus eligible overtime.

What you will do

  • Perform inspection work during a turnaround at an industrial site in Fort McMurray.
  • Inspect welds on pipelines, expansion joints, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and other manufactured equipment.
  • Apply inspection expertise across turnaround, shutdown, construction, and site activities.
  • Support quality assurance, vendor surveillance, and shop inspection activities as required.

Requirements

  • Hold API 510, API 570, or CWB Level 2 certification as a minimum.
  • Have several years of industrial welding-related inspection experience.
  • Experience in turnarounds, shutdowns, site work, quality assurance, vendor surveillance, or shop inspections is required; new construction experience may be considered if turnaround experience is unavailable.
  • Industrial experience in oil and gas, power and utilities, construction, manufacturing, or a related sector.
  • Work as an independent contractor and be authorized to work in Canada.
  • Be available for a one-month onsite contract starting September 4.
