What you will do

• Establish governance processes, standards, and templates for technical specifications across all project packages.
• Lead the preparation and consolidation of specifications, ensuring alignment with design intent and project requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering leads to ensure consistency between specifications, drawings, and interface registers.
• Support procurement teams by defining technical requirements, performance criteria, and acceptance standards for tenders.
• Conduct quality reviews of specifications to ensure compliance with Canadian codes, CSA standards, and regulatory obligations.
• Integrate specification data with digital engineering tools, BIM, and requirements management systems.

Requirements

• Accredited degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Engineering.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in technical specifications, engineering design coordination, or major infrastructure projects.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French is preferred.
• Strong understanding of CSI/CSC specification principles and Canadian construction codes.
• Experience with large multidisciplinary projects and procurement documentation.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Registered Architect status is considered an asset.

Nice to have

• Experience with Design-Build, Alliance, or PPP delivery models.
• Knowledge of requirements management tools such as DOORS.
• Experience in rail, transit, or complex infrastructure projects.
