Technical Specifications Coordinator - Group

Location: Montréal, Canada

International consulting and engineering group focused on passenger and freight transportation infrastructure, including railway and high-speed rail projects.

What you will do

• Establish standards, templates, governance processes, workflows, review cycles, and document controls for technical specifications.
• Lead the preparation, consolidation, coordination, and quality assurance of specifications across stations, facilities, civil infrastructure, track, rail systems, utilities, and interfaces.
• Translate design intent into measurable, procurement-ready functional, performance, safety, operational, maintainability, and sustainability requirements.
• Coordinate consistency and traceability between specifications, drawings, design reports, interface registers, requirements databases, verification, and acceptance criteria.
• Support tender packages, bidder technical reviews, clarifications, proposal evaluations, and contract documentation reviews.
• Integrate specification data with requirements management, document management, BIM, digital engineering, asset information, and digital twin systems.

Requirements

• Accredited degree in architecture, engineering, construction engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in technical specifications, engineering design coordination, or major infrastructure projects.
• Experience preparing specifications for large multidisciplinary projects and supporting procurement and contract documentation.
• Strong knowledge of construction and performance-based specifications, engineering coordination, quality assurance, configuration management, interface management, BIM, and digital engineering.
• Knowledge of CSI/CSC principles, Canadian construction and engineering codes, railway standards, and infrastructure requirements.
• English required; French preferred for bilingual communication.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer designation, registered architect status, CSC certification, or eligibility.
• Experience in rail, transit, transportation, buildings, or complex infrastructure projects.
• Experience with Design-Build, Alliance, or PPP delivery models.
• Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS.
